Lonely Shells (author unknown)

"...What do I want?
I could sit back and wait, prop my feet against the corners of the shell and lose myself in self-pity and depression. But what good would that do me? Would anyone think to pull an emotional corpse out of a plexiglass coffin?
I can't merely wait. I will dismantle this cumbersome shell. I will push against the plexiglass panels until they buckle. Perhaps some friend will help me by prying at the sealed edges as I lean against them..."

If all else fails, pry, and pry again. I read this one more than once, and felt the coldness of the plexiglass under may wedged feet. I pushed hard.
